In the best David Attenborough voice
“Here we see the nerds and/or geeks in their natural environment. The board game shop.
This store is known as Bulwark Games, a more wretched hive of scum and villainy can be found elsewhere as this is a welcoming place of good coffee, tasty snacks and excellent light to paint miniatures and play games.
Careful not to startle them we approached quietly to see what this guild of gamers is up to.
One of them was busy opening what are known as booster packs for the new Star Wars Unlimited trading card game.
Whenever a shiny card was revealed he would show it to the others and the sounds of oooos and ahhhs meant that all was good and this shiny was a particularly good one.
Then, once a deck was formed the two pairs got serious and proceeded to play to the best of their abilities.
It was truly a sight to behold as cards were drawn, perused and then played.
The lack of
movement was due to the imagination of the players taking over as they pictured the wild battle that lay before them. Each card was the difference between winning and not winning or rather losing.
Icons from the original trilogy, Rogue One and Star Wars Rebels appeared, fought valiantly and then were discarded when the battle became too much.
Leaders such as Darth Vader, June Erso, Chewbacca and more brought more tactical elements when activated but the opposing forces rained down destruction on the rebel base.
Then silence.
‘Another game?’ is heard.
The cards are formed into a deck once more, shuffled and the battle begins anew.”
